The Hayden Homes website is by far my most favorite website to talk about. Although the website is built on the WordPress content management system, over 70% of the content comes from the 3rd-party Kova API integration that Hayden does much of their house management through. This PHP class pulls the content from the Kova system and displays it on the Hayden website. Additionally, the map and search object is custom-developed to work with this API and the website to display realtime information about their available homes on a google map on their website.
Many people view websites on multiple types of devices. Responsive design ensures an optimal viewing experience on all devices, regardless of size. Whether on a smartphone or on a desktop, the website is safe to view without lagging, panning, zooming, and scrolling. Like all websites that I develop, the Hayden Homes website does not fail to incorporate responsiveness, in efforts to guarantee that no viewer leaves because they had a poor experience trying to navigate the website.
A key feature for the Hayden Homes site is the interactive map where users can see which homes are available in different areas. Build on AJAX and jQuery, This map works with a custom developed third-party API library in the backend to present the most recent available home data.
Home Filter Bar
With hundreds of homes available, the Hayden Homes site needed a user-friendly way to filter through all their homes quickly and efficiently. The home filter utilizes AJAX to populate the interactive map as well as provide a list view for the search results.
